How much will it cost?

Meetings run during school term times only. Subscriptions can be paid termly (at the start of each term) or monthly. Fees will be reduced for second and third children residing at the same address. Current rates in force per term are £48 for one child, £88 for two children, monthly fees are £12 per month for the first child and £10 for second and subsequent children. Of this about £16 per term goes directly towards insurances and the remainder towards the weekly running costs and meetings.

Will my child fit in?

Children are welcome to come to a few meetings before they decide whether Scouting is for them. This will give them time to make friends and find out what we do. They do not need to purchase a uniform (minimum of the jumper/top only) until they are ready to be invested which is normally after four or five weeks. We give all children their first 6 weeks free, this means you will not have to outlay any money only to find after a couple of weeks they are no longer interested.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
