It is relatively young, we have been running for 25 years – since 1994, with 2 Beaver colonies, a Cub pack and a Scout troop. We also have close links with the Free Spirit Explorer unit, which is where most of the scouts go when they leave us (although some return as Young Leaders).

We seek to follow closely the fundamental purpose of scouting, i.e. to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
